Houston in Charge in Texas

There have been many surprises that have unfolded through this NFL season. Cincinnati being (4-2) tying their last season winning total, Philadelphia being (3-4), Cam Newton and Alex Smith playing at a first draft pick level, Colts going (0-8). But the most surprising by far, in my opinion, is the Houston Texans. When the NFL season first started I didn't pick them to go to the playoffs, I thought they didn't have a solid defense and an inconsistent offense. But over and over this season, they have proven me wrong. Though they did have some mistakes, like the game against New Orleans where they led for most of the game but had a defensive meltdown, they have played very well and are atop the AFC South.

Over the last two seasons, the Texans look like they have been knocking on the door for the post-season to enter for the first time, and they didn’t. Now they have roared and unless something happens, they will break down the door. But this season, they are not only on pace for the playoffs, they also have a great chance at winning the ultimate prize, the Lombardi Trophy. With the offense booming, the defense blossoming, and a weak remaining schedule, the Texans are on pace to winning their first Super Bowl, and maybe, the first of many in a row.

With the team looking like a Super Bowl caliber team, the Houston Texans looks to win their first Lombardi Trophy.
