Game 6 of the World Series is being postponed because of a rainy forecast. MLB made the official decision 4 1/2 hours before the projected start of the game. That means game 6 will be played tomorrow. If game 7 is necessary it will be played on Friday.
The last time the World Series had been postponed was in 2008 in Philadelphia. In 2008 the Phillies and the Rays were in the sixth inning when snow and rain started to fall, which forced the game to stop. It continued to rain the next day until the game was finally resumed two days later.
This World Series has been a good one. Currently the Rangers are leading 3-2 going into game 6 in Busch Stadium. The Rangers hope to clinch the World Series and their first in franchise history, while the Cardinals hope to defend their home field advantage and win in seven games.
Colby Lewis had been set to start for Texas, while Jaime Garcia was ready to start for the Cardinals. We will find out if these two players will pitch tomorrow, or if the managers of both teams decide to make changes.

Bummer. It'l be fun to watch it today.
